Healing with Acupuncture
Postpartum acupuncture
Acu•punc•ture: A 3000-year-old practice within the system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which influences the energetics of the physical body thereby impacting its physical, mental and emotional functioning.
The practice of Acupuncture involves the strategic insertion of super-fine needles at any number of the 400+ acupuncture points along the body’s surface, activating its innate healing wisdom by enhancing blood flow, balancing hormones and neurotransmitters, and regulating the nervous system.
🤰🏻in Pregnancy:
Acupuncture is a safe and effective method for supporting a healthy pregnancy, offering relief from symptoms such as headaches, heartburn, hypertension, excess swelling, back pain, insomnia, and more. Acupuncture and moxa can also be used to encourage head-down fetal positioning in the third trimester.
👩🏻🍼after Childbirth:
Regulate fluctuating hormones that can result in headaches, anxiety and depression, adrenal fatigue and extreme exhaustion, in addition to supporting general aches and pains, pelvic floor dysfunction and soft tissue recovery. Acupuncture can promote lactation, help to clear mastitis and engorgement, and can be used to support the weaning process as well.
